Steven J. Glaros
Steven grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Southeastern Louisiana University, where he graduated Cum Laude and received the Roy E. Hyde Award for Top Graduate in Major. Steven J. Glaros attended law school at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan where he received his Juris Doctor after only two years in the school's accelerated program. While there he participated in the American Bar Association, Moot Court Competition, and was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity.
Initially, Steven J. Glaros worked under then Attorney General Charlie Crist for the State of Florida as an Assistant Attorney General in St. Petersburg, Florida. As an Assistant Attorney General, he researched, drafted pleadings, and litigated thousands of trials. Thereafter, he joined a law firm in Palm Harbor, Florida, as their primary family law associate. While there he managed a high number of primarily family law cases; his emphasis being divorce, child custody, domestic violence injunctions, and dependency.
Steven then became a solo practitioner, where he represented mostly family law matters. His experience includes representation of several divorcing wives of other Family Law attorneys, and he has prevailed in many highly contested custody battles. Steven has completed the Supreme Court of Florida certification course for family law mediators and will soon be a Supreme Court of Florida Certified Family Law Mediator.
In his spare time, Steven has volunteered for a variety of community interest projects. He volunteers at the annual Lawfest Workshop in St. Petersburg providing free legal advice to attendees. Steven volunteers for the guardian ad litem program assisting children within the legal system. He's also hosted benefits for the animals of the Humane Society and, after Hurricane Katrina, he collected and distributed necessary aid to its victims before spending three weeks assisting in the cleanup effort.

Joy Demas is a member of the Florida Bar and the Clearwater Bar Association and currently focuses her practice areas on family law, estate planning, and representing veterans with disability claims before the Department of Veteran’s Administration. Prior to joining the Law Offices of Steven J. Glaros and Associates, Joy was a partner with the Demas Law Group. Her additional experience includes being an Assistant Staff Counsel in the Lawyer Regulation Department of the Florida Bar, where she prosecuted attorneys for violations of the Rules Regulating the Florida Bar. Joy began her career at the Law Office of Raymond A. Alley in Tampa, Florida, where her practice focused on family law and estate planning. She left Mr. Alley’s office to practice with Wilkes & McHugh, P.A. from 2001-2004, dealing mainly with issues concerning nursing home abuse and medical malpractice.
Joy Demas was born in Orlando, Florida. She received a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Stetson University in Deland, Florida, and subsequently attended Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she received her Juris Doctorate in December 1998. Joy was admitted to the Florida Bar in April 1999.
Joy earned a softball scholarship at Stetson University, a Division I institution. She has coached her children’s Countryside Little League tee ball team, and Joy was the coordinator for the Countryside Jr. Cougars Flag Cheerleading Program in 2007 and 2008, where she was honored as the program’s 2007 Volunteer of the Year. Joy also had the privilege of joining the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training, for whom she helped raise more than $5.5 million by participating in the 2008 and 2009 Walt Disney World Half-Marathon. She recently raised money for cancer research by participating in Wheels for a Cure, a 60-mile bike race hosted in 2009.

Richard C. Millian
Richard was born in Queens, New York, in 1971, and lived in the Tampa area since 1985. After attending Florida Atlantic University, where he received a B.A. in Criminal Justice in 1994, he attended Stetson University College of Law, J.D., where he graduated cum laude in 1997, and the Research Editor for the college’s Law Review from 1996 to 1997.
His legal experience started as an attorney with Burton & Murphy, P.A, from 1997 to 1998, where he focused on Business Litigation. He was then an attorney with Tew, Zinober, Barnes, Zimmet, & Unice, P.A. from 1998 until 2008, where his areas of practice included Insurance Defense, Business Litigation, Land Use Law, and Family Law. Richard later provided in-house Counsel for Life Brokerage Partners, LLC, from 2008 until 2009, and was a Managing Partner of The Millian Law Group, P.L., from 2008 until the present, with his areas of practice including Business Litigation and Family Law.
He has also served as an attorney with Retamar & Millian, P.A., from 2008 to the present, with his areas of practice including Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, Motor Vehicle Accidents, and Premises Liability. His experience as General Counsel and in private practice provides with him the tools necessary to represent his clients with the utmost confidence to achieve the clients' desired results. Rick is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts.
Richard joined Retamar & Millian, P.A., in 2008 after leaving his position as General Counsel for Life Brokerage Partners, LLC. He went back to private practice to fulfill his career-long dream of working alongside his brother, Marc, where together, along with Mr. Retamar, they help injured clients to recover compensation for injuries sustained due to the negligence of others. In late 2009, he opened the Tampa area office of Retamar & Millian, P.A. Recently, Rick agreed to become "of counsel" with the Law Offices of Steven J. Glaros and Associates, and he will be leading our personal injury department.
Rick is happily married to his wife, Krista, and is the father of two sons, Eli and Alexander. When not working, Rick enjoys spending time with his family.

Ruby C. Wake

Ruby graduated from Hofstra University School of Law in 2008. After graduation, Ruby continued working at the boutique wills, trusts, and estates law firm of the Law Offices of Amy Holzman, PLLC, where she started off as a paralegal in 2004. As an associate, Ruby represented high net-worth families and their businesses, as well as couples requiring prenuptial agreements. After eight years of working closely with clients, Ruby transitioned to the Private Client Services, Estates, & Trusts Department of the prestigious New York City law firm, Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf, LLP. At Windels, Ruby had the opportunity of working closely with some of the most influential estate planning attorneys in New York.
In 2013, Ruby established Wake Law, LLC, because she wanted to cater her practice to assisting families in estate planning without the stringent requirements imposed by some of the top law firms. Ruby moved to Florida and has transitioned her successful New York practice to serve clients in the Tampa Bay area. She has chosen to concentrate her practice in estate planning for growing families, families with children with special needs, elderly clients requiring assistance, and small business owners. Ruby is passionate about helping families create happy and secure futures. Most importantly, Ruby is happily married to Anthony and the proud mother of Ethan and Kaleesi.
